Romanian wins Mechanical Engineer of the Year award in Dubai

Romanian Alin Epure was named Mechanical Engineer of the Year at the 2016 MEP Middle East Awards organized in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in mid-November.

The judges described Epure as a “well experienced all-rounder,” who has managed various big projects in both Europe and the UAE, reports Constructionweekonline.com.

Alin Epure moved from Romania to Dubai in 2014. He joined BK Gulf there, and worked on various UAE prestigious projects such as the Dubai Opera House. He led the engineering and delivery of the unique water fountains at the Opera House: Allegro and Tide.

Epure was born in Transylvania, Romania, where he studied Public Administration, Environmental Engineering and Building Services Engineering. He worked on a big project aimed at expanding and rehabilitating the water sewerage network of Romania, funded by the European Union, according to his Linkedin profile.

He also designed several commercial and residential buildings in Europe and Middle East, including Iraq, and has experience in design and construction of Fish Farms and Recirculating Aquaculture Systems, as part of the Operational Program for Fisheries, Fishing Farms in Bihor County, Romania.

He is now convinced that the award obtained in Dubai will help him in his career, and will bring him other important projects, reports local Digi24.
