Romanian students received the maximum number of gold medals – three, two silvers and three bronze medals at the most recent Markstrat simulation at the Dukenet program in Budapest. Six students from the Foreign Languages and Literature Faculty and two from the Business and Administration faculty, both within the University of Bucharest, represented Romania at the competition. The all – women team competed against teams from UK, Germany, Poland, Finland, the Netherlands, and France.
The competition, which took place between January 26 and February 2, included 11 online simulation rounds on marketing. Their English language, marketing, IT, speed, team work and spontaneity were tested during the competition. The Romanian team’s virtual company strategy impressed the jury after intermediary reports and the final presentation.
The Dukenet network was set up 15 years ago and includes European Universities. The University in Bucharest became a member in 2008 and sends students to marketing strategy courses each year.
Markstrat offers students and professionals a risk-free platform for testing theories and making decisions. The Markstrat simulation is used in more than 500 academic institutions, including 8 of the top 10 international business schools and 25 of the top 30 in the US, according to its creator, StratX Simulations.
