Romanian song of the week: Onoare by GuessWho

The first song of the week in this column for 2013 comes from one of the artists of the moment in Romania, the rapper GuessWho. His latest song, called Onoare- translated as Honor - is on heavy rotation on music channels and on local radios.

The lyrics in Romania criticize the current state of the Romanian society, where honor is an unknown word these days, when people focus on shallow things.

GuessWho, by his real name Laurentiu Mocanu, started performing in 1999, when he was part of a band. He became better known in the late 2000 after the songs Locul potrivit/The right place, Manifest and Tot mai sus/Higher and higher. He was awarded best hip-hop artist in 2010 at the Romanian Music Awards in Romania.
