Romanian song: Mare albastra by Dorian [Bonus: original song]

01 August 2014

The new song by Dorian, Mare albastra, is a modern interpretation of an old pop song from the late 80s. The new version keeps the melody line, the chorus, and the song's name.

The version played by Dorian (in picture, right) however brings a new sound, and combines the nice line of the chorus with new lyrics.

We really enjoyed listening to the remixed song, and watching the video, which made us long for a drive to the seaside. Listen to the song and watch the video below, together with the original song, performed by Daniel Iordachioaie (in picture, left) in 1987 - which was a hit at the time.

Dorina Micu is 23, and was born in the seaside city of Constanta. He is part of the team of artists who work with HaHaHa Production, the music production company run by famous Romanian artist Smiley – who also appears in this video.
