Romanian power producer Hidroelectrica could exit insolvency on May 11, when the court will give the final sentences in two trials involving Hidroelectrica and two energy traders, said Remus Borza, representative of Euro Insol, the energy producer’s judicial administrator.

Energy Holding and Alpiq Romenergie challenged the producer’s decision to enter insolvency. They have been the last two energy traders that went to court for that, reports local Capital.ro.

By opening the insolvency procedure, Hidroelectrica terminated the contracts concluded with several energy traders. The company supplied these traders with electricity at below-market prices.
