Bancpost posted a profit of EUR 4.2 million in the first three months of this year, compared to a profit of almost EUR 5.6 million in the first quarter of 2015.

The bank recorded positive results in the first three quarters of the last year, but had losses of some EUR 6.9 million in the last three months of the year.  Overall, the bank saw a profit of EUR 7.8 million last year.

Bancpost is the second largest Greek bank subsidiary in Romania. It is part of the EFG Eurobank group.

The volume of loans and deposits remained constant in the first quarter of the year. The loan/deposit ratio stayed at 75%, compared to 78% at the end of 2015.
