Romania's third largest lender Banca Transilvania expands to Italy by opening the Casilina Agency, its second unit in Rome.

“BT, the only Romanian bank in Italy, has been present in the market since 2014, and it has over 3,000 customers,” reads the lender’s press release.

The bank has decided to open a second unit in Rome due to the high number of Romanians. About 200,000 Romanians live in the Italian capital.

Banca Transilvania is supported by international shareholders such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as well as the World Bank.
