Romanian agriculture minister Achim Irimescu and his Kuwaiti homologous Ali Saleh Al Omair were involved in a car accident on Thursday morning, August 25. The two officials only suffered minor nose injuries and were taken to the hospital in Slobozia for medical investigations, Irimescu told local Agerpres.

The accident occurred during the Kuwaiti minister’s official visit to Romania. The two ministers were going from Bucharest to Braila, in eastern Romania. Their car was driving on the highway when the accident happened as a car in traffic didn’t clear the way for the motorcade, according to Agerpres.
