Romanian firm with one employee, the biggest debtor to state budget

The biggest debtor to Romania’s state budget is a company registered in a village in the Buzau county, which has overdue tax liabilities of over EUR 100 million, according to the tax agency ANAF’s list of the big and medium companies with tax debts.

The company is called Oana Management and was founded in 2006. It offers business and management consultancy.

The company had a single employee in 2014, the last year when the company provided financial data. Its turnover amounted to EUR 2 million.

The state has initiated the company’s foreclosure, but the chances to recover the money are very small. The company has no activity at the registered address and its legal representatives can’t be reached, according to an investigation by Digi24.ro from last summer.
