Romanian artist Rodica Iliesco will have some of her paintings exhibited at the Agora Gallery in New York this October.

The exhibition, called Idiosyncratic Expressions, will open on October 14 and run through November 3. An opening reception will take place on October 20, from 18:00 to 20:00.

Rodica Iliesco, known professionally as Rody, was born in Romania but grew up listening to her father’s stories of being an artist in 1920s Paris. She did go to the French capital to study at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts, which felt like home to her.

The Romanian artist is now an Honorary Citizen of the Montmartre Republic.

Idiosyncratic Expressions is a group exhibition featuring fourteen artists, namely Yetty Elzas, Luz Letts, Maria Bayardo, Susan Marx, Kerstin Lundin, Nomi Knecht, Rody, Mark Salevitz, Brenda Ness-Cooper, Laura Colantonio, Sandra Mueller-Dick, Henrik Sjöström, Alexander Telin, and Arlette Zurbuchen. Find out more about the event here.

Founded in 1984, Agora Gallery is a contemporary art gallery dedicated to the promotion of national and international artists seeking exposure to the New York art market.
