Romania records positive balance in relation to EU

Romania received EUR 40.86 billion from the European Union and contributed EUR 13.78 billion between 2007 and 2016, recording a positive balance of EUR 27.08 billion, according to a Facebook status published by the Finance Ministry yesterday.

Romania attracted EUR 37.05 billion from the EU within the 2007-2013 programming period and some EUR 3.81 billion in the 2014-2020 programming period, according to the Ministry.

The data on the evolution of financial flows between Romania and the European Union prove that Romania is a “net beneficiary of EU membership”, according to the Finance Ministry’s Facebook status.
