Romania keeps same thresholds for purchases without tender

27 April 2016

The state can award contracts by direct procurement without tender up to a threshold of EUR 30,000 for products and services, and EUR 100,000 for works, according to changes in the new public procurement law.

Basically, the new law keeps the same thresholds as in the previous law, reports local Profit.ro.

In the initial version, the new public procurement law halved the limits for public purchases without a tender. However, the final draft has other figures.

Two years ago, the threshold for public procurement without tender was raised from EUR 15,000 to EUR 30,000 for services, and from EUR 15,000 to EUR 100,000 for works.
