Romania creates center to promote tourism in the Carpathians

The Economy Ministry is working on a draft law for setting up a center that would coordinate the investment projects in the mountains resorts.

The team will be made of five people who will promote the tourism in the Carpathians, both domestically and, especially, abroad, said Claudiu Vrinceanu, state secretary in the Economy Ministry, reports local Profit.ro. The center will be located in Brasov.

The mountain resorts are the only destination in Romania where the number of incoming tourists from every country saw annual increases. The number of German tourists went up by 28.4% year-on-year whereas the number of tourists from Israel doubled. The number of tourists from Italy rose by 27.5% and the number of tourists from the UK increased by 29.3%.

Also, the Carpathian resorts saw more tourists from France, Poland, and Spain.
