The last month of spring starts with bad weather in Romania, 29 counties and the capital Bucharest being under a yellow code of rain, strong wind, and even snow between May 3, 09:00, and May 4, 21:00.

The alert targets the counties in southern, southeastern, and central Romania. In these regions, the rainfall will reach 20-30 liters per sqm, and can even go up to 50 liters per sqm in some areas. In the mountains, at over 1700 m, rain will be replaced by snow.

Moreover, the wind will also blow strongly in this period, reaching speeds of 55-65 km per hour in the areas targeted by the alert, and more than 70 km per hour in the mountain regions.

The temperatures will also drop below the normal values for this period.
