Propertyweek: Romanian empire switch for Deutsche Pfandbriefbank MD


Jairaj Amin, the managing director of Deutsche Pfandbriefbank’s European syndication department, is understood to be leaving to work with Romanian billionaire entrepreneur Dinu Patriciu, according to a recent article run by propertyweek.com. “Amin is thought to be leaving to work with Romania’s richest man, the entrepreneur Dinu Patriciu. It is not clear yet what Amin’s role will be,” according to the publication.

Amin has worked at Deutsche Pfandbrief, formerly Hypo Real Estate Bank, for around seven years.

Forbes lists Patriciu as the richest man in Romania and the 397th richest person in the world, with a fortune of $1.8bn.

Dinu Patriciu’s investment fund Black Sea Global Properties, acquired two real estate investment funds, Fabian Romania and Deutsche Land and took control of Rutley European Property, recently renamed DP Property Europe.

Dinu Patricu is the founder of Rompetrol oil and gas company, which he sold to KazMunaiGaz in 2007.
