Possible World War II projectile found on construction site in Bucharest

An unexploded projectile was found on Thursday evening on a construction site on Antiaeriana Street in southwestern Bucharest.

The people working on the construction site announced the discovery at around 19:00. The projectile, which had a diameter of 82 mm, seems to be dating from the World War II period, according to the first information, reports local News.ro.

Firefighters from the Special Intervention Unit cordoned off the area and returned Friday morning to take the projectile. The bomb is to be stored for destruction.
