SkyRun: Over 700 people to run up the stairs of the tallest building in Romania for charity

15 December 2015

SkyRun, the biggest vertical marathon in Romania, will return with a new edition in January 2016.

More than 700 people are expected to run up the stairs of the SkyTower building in Bucharest - the tallest building in Romania, for four social causes supported by MaiMultVerde Association, Mia’s Children Association, Hospice Casa Sperantei, and World Vision Romania. For example, the funds raised via this event by MaiMultVerde Association will be used for afforestation projects to be carried out by the organization in 2016.

The challenge includes 34 floors, 680 steps, and an 119-meter ascent. Besides the usual running competition, next year’s edition of the event will also feature a 24-hour relay race which will include four teams of six runners, with each team representing one of the four participant NGOs.

Those who want to run in this competition can register on the event’s website until January 18. The SkyRun marathon will take place on January 23 and January 24. Find out more information here.
