New York’s Battery Dance Company is in Bucharest between March 14 and March 22. The dance group is holding a series of training workshops for young people with disabilities, children and artists, as part of the Dancing to Connect program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
All the groups that attend the dance group’s workshops will participate in a modern dance show to be held at Palatul Copiilor in Bucharest, on March 21, between 18:30 and 20:00. Entrance to the event is free.
With a history of 35 years, the Battery Dance Company has participated in international performing arts festivals, conferences and symposia in 40 countries on 5 continents. The group’s Dancing to Connect program has been implemented in 25 countries and territories around the world since 2006. The program helps young people to develop their creativity and team spirit through modern dance.
