All the schools is Romania will have the necessary equipment for Wi-Fi Internet in about four years, under a new program the Government is currently preparing.

“At the moment, in terms of logistics information, all schools in Romania are connected to the Internet, but we’re talking of fixed connection. There is a project in the Government program that we are working on right now, which is to be financed from EU funds, and is called The School Campus,” said education minister Pavel Nastase, reports local News.ro.

Under this program, Wi-Fi equipment is to be installed in all the schools where this type of Internet is not available.

Nastase also said that the state budget also provides money for equipping schools that don’t have Wi-Fi, money that will mainly go to schools in rural areas.
