Natalia Gelshtein-Kiss is the new GM of Danone Romania, Bulgaria, and The Adriatic, the company announced. She is replacing Adrian Pascu, who was promoted at the beginning of March to commercial VP of Danone Russia, the Dairy Division.

Gelshtein-Kiss will be reporting to Paolo Maria Tafuri, the Danone GM for the Central and Eastern Europe region.

“I have had unforgettable experiences in the region, in countries close to Romania, and I am happy to come here, a market known for its exacting consumers. Danone Romania is on the right path towards consolidating a sustainable, long-term business, contributing at the same time to the development of the yogurt category and local partner farms,” Gelshtein-Kiss said.

Danone Romania is one of the biggest dairy producers in the country. The company had sales of EUR 109 million and a net profit of EUR 3 million in 2015, according to official data from the Finance Ministry.
