Adina Monica Popescu, a 26-year old Romanian trekker who went missing in Nepal at the middle of July, was found dead on Sunday night, July 24, according to Kathmandu Post.

The Nepalese police started looking for the Romanian after she had been missing for more than a week. The police had contradictory information as to when and where she was last seen.

Adina Popescu got to Nepal on July 11 and was supposed to return to Bucharest on July 18. She was alone and apparently she was last seen around Chomrong village in Nepal’s Annapurna area either on July 14 or July 15.

The Nepalese police started an investigation on her mysterious death.
