Mira Telecom finalizes first stage of EU funded EUR 2 mln research and development center

Romanian company Mira Telecom finalized the first stage of its EUR 2 million research center development, located in Joiţa, Ilfov county. The construction of the center, dedicated to research in various fields- software, securitaty, electronics, biophysics, biochemestry or quantum physics – was delivered in August 2012, using non- reimbursable financial assistance from the EU. The project will be developed in two stages by 2013.

The delivered building covers over 720 sqm, on a 9,000 sqm land plot. The next step in the project is to acquire equipment in the fields of electronics, quantum physics, physics chemistry and informatics.

The research center will have five new operational research labs : applicative development software lab, electronics research lab, quantum physics research lab, multi- discipline research lab (electronics, biophysics, biochemestry), the complex trial lab (trials performed under various climate conditions, electromagnetic and mechanical environments) equipped with hi-tech devices and equipment.

“ Beyond the figures, we hope that our research center will also inspire other companies to develop similar projects. This is essential for the professional future of Romanian specialists!” said Stelian Ilie, the President of Mira Telecom.

Mira Telecom started its activity with radiocommunication equipment distribution 14 years ago. The company now offers security, IT and telecom solutions.
