Romania to donate minibuses for student transport to Republic of Moldova
Romania will donate 96 minibuses for student transportation to the neighboring Republic of Moldova, Romanian Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu announced on Wednesday, reports local Agerpres.
The donation is on the agenda of the two Governments’ joint meeting scheduled to take place on Thursday in the Romanian town of Piatra Neamt.
According to Grindeanu, this donation represents a continuation of a program carried out in previous years.
“We’ve donated 100 minibuses in previous years, if we’re taking about this subject. The relation between Romania and the Republic of Moldova is a special one, given the common historical roots, and the expectations the society in the two countries has,” the Prime Minister said.
In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Sevil Shhaideh said that the donation was approved based on exchanges of letters between the Governments of Romania and Moldova.
