The National Museum of Natural History Grigore Antipa in Bucharest will host two Mărțișor Workshops on February 22 and March 1, 2013.
During the workshops, children aged between 8 and 12 will learn how to use the technique of twisting the paper in order to create greeting cards and the traditional Mărțișor pins. Both workshops will start at 16:00 and will be held by Daniela Stanciu – SmartKidsLand trainer.
The participating cost in RON 120 for both sessions and everything made during the workshops will be kept by the participants. To register, send an email at florentinap@antipa.ro.
On March 1, Romanians celebrate the coming of spring in their own unique way – through the symbolic Mărțișor (in picture), which is given as a gift and pinned to the clothes.
