Lidl plans to hire 500 people in Romania this year

German retailer Lidl, which has 5,000 employees in Romania, will recruit another 500 people this year, as it plans to expands its network, reports local Ziarul Financiar.

The company currently has 200 stores in Romania, to which it plans to add 10 units this year.

Lidl representatives said that salaries will also increase this year. Currently, the minimum salary in the firm amounts to about EUR 347, including food vouchers. This would increase to EUR 365 starting next month, food vouchers included.

Lidl has a policy of wage increments. Wages increase every year within the first three years in the company. In the third year of activity, salaries can reach EUR 483, including food vouchers. The wage of a store manager can amount to a net value of EUR 1,085.
