Largest online fashion retailer in Romania ups turnover 29%

06 March 2017

Fashion Days, the largest online fashion retailer in Romania, increased its turnover by 17% in Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria last year, reaching over EUR 50 million.

Romania was the market with the best evolution. The company saw a 29% increase in its turnover to EUR 30 million.

In the first two months of 2017, Fashion Days saw a 70% annual growth in its turnover over the same period last year. The company estimates a 50% growth rate for the whole year. The estimate refers both to Romania and to the other markets where the company is active.

The increase is related to the retailer’s collaboration with eMAG, the biggest online retailer in Romania. Fashion Days will have access to technical and commercial solutions developed by eMAG and will be able to use eMAG’s showrooms and delivery points.

Fashion Days and eMAG will merge this year. Both retailers are controlled by South-African investment fund NASPERS.

Last year, the fashion retailer had 500 employees, 420 of whom were in Romania. Fashion Days sold 1.65 million items in Romania in 2016, up by a third compared to 2015.
