Iulius Group completes first office building of Openville Timisoara

Romanian real estate developer Iulius Group, controlled by local investor Iulian Dascalu, has completed the first office building of the mixed-use real estate project Openville Timisoara.

The complex will have seven office buildings. The first building is called United Business Center 2, has 12 floors and a leasable surface of 18,000 sqm. It is fully leased by companies such as Ness Software Engineering Services, Autoliv Romania, PwC Romania, and Bitdefender.

The developer has already started working on the second office building of the complex, with 12 floors and a rentable area of 13,000 sqm. For this building, Iulius has signed a partnership with the international service provider IT Atos to lease 6,000 sqm.

The investment in the Openville Timisoara multifunctional project amounts to over EUR 220 million. It is the second mixed-use project developed by Iulius, after Palas Iasi. The project aims to become the largest business, shopping and entertainment center in Western Romania.
