Hotel owner Orbis ups turnover by 8% in Q1

Polish group Orbis, which owns seven hotels in Romania, posted a turnover of EUR 56.8 million in the first quarter of this year, up by 7.9% over the same period in 2016. The pre-tax operating income reached EUR 6.1 million.

The hotels operated by Orbis had an average occupancy rate of 55.8%, at an average tariff of EUR 47.

In Romania, the group operates the Pullman hotel, a Novotel hotel, four three-star Ibis hotels, and a Mercure hotel.

Orbis is the largest network of hotels in Poland and in Eastern Europe. It comprises more than 100 hotels and is the sole licensor of all AccorHotels brands in 16 countries in Eastern Europe, including Romania.
