Swedish fashion retailer H&M will open a store in the Iulius Mall shopping center in Iasi this fall.

It will be the group’s second shop in Iasi, after the one inaugurated in 2012 in the Palas real estate complex, which also belongs to the Iulius network. The new store will cover 1,500 sqm spread across two floors.

The Swedish group opened its first units in the Iulius network in 2011, with stores inaugurated in the Iulius Mall Timisoara and Iulius Mall Cluj shopping centers.

Iulius Mall Iasi was opened in April 2000. It was the first mall built outside Bucharest and the second in the country, after Bucharest Mall.

H&M entered the Romanian market in 2011 and has opened 44 stores in five years becoming one of the top fashion retailers. Last year, H&M had sales of EUR 150 million in Romania.
