Google Romania CEO moves to Singapore to coordinate the group's new business in Asia

Romanian executive Dan Bulucea, who has been CEO of Google Romania since November 2010, was promoted to New Business Director for the Asia Pacific region.

He will move to Google’s offices in Singapore, where he will work on finding new business opportunities for the American group in markets such as Japan, China, India, Australia, and New Zealand. The move becomes effective in June.

He will continue to manage Google’s local operations in the next three months until the group will appoint a new country manager.

Dan Bulucea has been in charge of developing Google’s business in Romania since the group opened its local office, in 2010. His efforts focused on supporting local companies in implementing online technologies as well as on promoting Romanian culture and traditions via Google’s platforms, such as the Google Cultural Institute.

Before joining Google, he worked for Microsoft’s local office for more than 13 years.
