Gaming industry leaders come to Bucharest conference this fall

DEV.PLAY 2017 by RGDA, the only Romanian conference dedicated to the game development industry, will take place at Grand Cinema & More in Baneasa Shopping City, northern Bucharest, on September 11-12.

The event will bring several gaming industry leaders to the Romanian capital, its program including workshops, talks, and panels. Some of the speakers already confirmed for this year’s edition of the conference are Jeferson Valadares, Eric Seufert, Scott Humphries, Dave Pimm, and Martine Spaans. They will be joined on stage by well-known local game developers.

DEV.PLAY 2017 by RGDA will also have an exhibition area of over 500 sqm, competitions for independent developers, and a wide range of networking opportunities for professionals and enthusiasts.

The early-bird tickets, which are available until July 31, are already on sale on the event’s website for the price of EUR 104. Those interested can also buy VIP tickets for EUR 300 or special tickets for students for EUR 30.

According to information from the event’s organizers, the game development industry generated revenues of over EUR 140 million in Romania in 2015. Moreover, the over 50 studios present in the local market have some 7,000 employees.
