First woman to lead Coca-Cola operations in Romania, Moldova

Romanian Nicoleta Eftimiu, former Coca-Cola Romania marketing director, has been promoted to Coca-Cola Franchise Country Manager for Romania and Moldova, which is the highest position in the company's organizational structure for the countries of Southeast Europe.

She is also the first woman appointed to lead the Coca-Cola operations in the two countries, according to the company.

This position was previously occupied by Romanian Petre Sandru who became Country Manager for Coca-Cola Ireland.

Eftimiu began her career in a marketing agency, as Account Director for the Coca-Cola brand. She joined Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company Romania as Category Manager Non Carbonated Beverages and New Business, in 2003.

Nicoleta Eftimiu later moved to Coca-Cola Romania, where she held various positions from brand manager to marketing director.
