Famous Jackie Chan in Romania for Chinese Film Days this autumn

Famous martial arts guru and actor Jackie Chan will be in Romania for the Chinese Films Days this fall. A memorandum of understanding was signed earlier this year between Romania’s Cinematography Center and the Chinese State Administration for the Media, Radio and TV, to organize Chinese Film Festivals in both countries this year.

Jackie Chan will arrive in Romania on September 11, for the festival opening, according to Mihai Kogalniceanu, the general manager of the Cinematography Center, quoted by Mediafax.

A feature – length film directed by Jackie Chan, CZ12, will open the Chinese Film Days. Other movies to be screened at the festival will be Beijing Love Story", by Chen Sicheng, "The Grandmaster", by Kar Wai Wong, "The Flying Swords of Dragon Gate", by Tsui Hark, and "Full Circle", by Zhang Yang.

The festival will take place between September 11 and 18, at the Union cinema in Bucharest. The opening will take place on September 11 at the Grand Cinema Băneasa.

Jackie Chan, 60, was born in Hong Kong, and has built a successful career in martial arts movies. He has a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, and received a Taurus award for his entire career at the World Stunt Awards.
