Fado singer Mariza will sing for her Bucharest fans this month

Popular fado singer Mariza will perform for her Romanian fans this month. The concert will take place at Sala Palatului in Bucharest, on November 19.

Born to a Portuguese father and a mother of partial African heritage, Mariza began singing in a wide variety of musical styles when she was very young. Her father was the one who strongly encouraged her to adopt fado.

In a single decade, Mariza has sold over one million albums and performed an impressive number of concerts all over the world.

Moreover, in 2004, she won the European Border Breakers Award. That same year, Mariza played A Thousand Years in duet with Sting, during the Olympic Games in Athens.

She is now in a European tour promoting her latest album Mundo. Tickets for the Bucharest show cost RON 199 (some EUR 44), and can be purchased online here.
