New events for expats in Romania kick off in Bucharest

A new series of events dedicated to expats in Romania has recently kicked off. Organized by City Compass Tours & Events, the series named Newcomers brings together both new and experienced expats in Romania to share information and socialize.

The first event of the series happened on February 6 and offered a brief intro to Romania as well as the story of Dragobete, the Romanian Lovers’ Day.

The second such event is scheduled for March 6 at Red Angus Steakhouse in Bucharest’s Old Town, starting 7 PM.  The organizers will offer a brief intro to Romania followed by the story of the Martisor and other spring celebrations and traditions.

Tickets for the event are RON 25 when bought online, and RON 30 on the door, with pre-booking (limited seating). More info about the event and tickets here. 

Future events in the series include Easter traditions on April 4, Romania – off the beaten track on May 8, From Communism to Democracy on June 12, Romanian traditions and superstitions on July 6, among others. All future events by City Compass Tours & Events are here.
