European Investment Bank grants EUR 25 mln to OTP Bank Romania

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted local lender OTP Bank Romania a EUR 25 million financing line to support small and medium-sized companies and help the create more jobs for young people.

The loans to the final beneficiaries will be used to finance investments and work capital, and can be granted for a period of maximum ten years.

The EIB funds will help increase Romania’s competitiveness.

“The loan is created to mainly support SMEs, the pillars of the Romanian economy,” reads the press release.
