Deutsche Telekom subsidiary invests EUR 200,000 in cloud platform in Cluj-Napoca

GTS Telecom, a provider of telecom services based on infrastructure, owned by Deutsche Telekom, has invested EUR 200,000 in a cloud platform in Cluj-Napoca, north-western Romania. This is the second cloud platform owned by GTS Telecom in Romania after the one in Bucharest.

In March, the company opened a data center in Cluj-Napoca, with an investment of EUR 500,000. The data center is located in the Liberty Technology Park complex, developed by Ion Sturza, the former PM of Republic of Moldova.

GTS Telecom recorded a turnover of EUR 17.7 million in 2015, up 2% over the previous year. The company managed to reduce its net losses by more than a half to EUR 345,000. It currently has 125 employees.
