Romania is perceived as an oasis of stability by foreign investors, said Radu Dumitrescu, financial advisory director at Deloitte Romania.

“If we look around, we have war at our right, and political turmoil at our left,” he said, reports local Agerpres.

Romania is a growing market for mergers and acquisitions due to its economic growth and fiscal stability, Dumitrescu added. Romania ranked fourth in the region last year for the value of mergers and acquisitions.

The M&A market reached USD 3.65 billion in Romania in 2015, up 22.4% over the previous year, according to the EY CSE M&A Barometer 2015.
