The Mihai Kogalniceanu airport in the Romanian city of Constanta will undergo reshuffling within a EUR 29.7 million project meant to revamp its airplane parking area. The contract will be financed via the Transport Operational Program, which will cover some 70 percent, while the state budget will cover the rest. The deadline for the end of work is 13 months after the contract is assigned.
The contract will be assigned via an open bid, with the price and technical component equally weighted in the decision. The deadline for submitting offers is March 18.
The airport is owned and run by the Transport Ministry, and is among the companies for which the ministry re-started the stock exchange listing procedures. The state wants to list 5 percent on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. This was planned to happen in 2010, but was delayed because of the financial crisis which affected stock market investments.
