IT company Atos rents 6,000 sqm in Openville Timisoara compound

Romanian investor Iulian Dascalu signed a partnership with international IT service supplier Atos, which leased 6,000 sqm in the United Business Center 1 (UBC 1) office building, within the Openville Timisoara mixed real estate project.

The Atos team will start its activity in the Openville Timisoara complex starting the third quarter of next year. The office will also host the company’s new cyber security expertise center.

The construction of the second building of the Openville complex began in June this year. UBC 1 will have 12 floors and a leasable area of 13,000 sqm.

Iulius Group is investing over EUR 220 million in the Openville Timişoara mixed-use project located in the vicinity of Iulius Mall, being the second mixed-use project in the company portfolio after Palas Iasi. The construction work started in September 2015 with the UBC 2 office building, which will be completed this year. The companies that have contracted premises in this 18,000 sqm building include Ness Software Engineering Services, Autoliv Romania, and the Regina Maria.

Openville will comprise a total built area of 594,000 sqm, including Iulius Mall Timisoara. The office component will have the largest share in the ensemble, spanning on a total leasable area of 130,000 sqm, with 7 buildings.
