Companies to submit financial statements online from October

Romanian large and medium taxpayers will submit their fiscal statements online as of October 1, through the National Electronic System (SEN), the Ministry of Communications announced on Thursday.

The ministry, in cooperation with the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF), will prepare the system for the online submission of the single statement on social security contributions. The process will start on October 1, with large and medium taxpayers filing their fiscal statements, signed using digital certificates, with the SEN.

Starting with February 1, 2011, a single statement will replace every other form on social security contributions.

More than 30,000 taxpayers will be able to trade real pay desks for virtual ones, according to the ministry.

SEN is managed by the National Information Society Management Center, under the authority of the Ministry of Communications.
