Cirque du Soleil will bring Varekai show to Bucharest next year

Famous Canadian circus company Cirque du Soleil will return to Romania next spring, with the show Varekai. A total of six performances will be organized at Romexpo in Bucharest, from May 3 to May 7, 2017.

The shows will take place every day between May 3 and May 6, starting 20:00, and two more representation are scheduled for May 7, at 13:00 and 17:00.

The members of the Cirque du Soleil Club can already buy tickets for the performances in Bucharest, while the rest of the public will be able to purchase tickets starting November 23, 10:00.

Tickets cost between RON 127 (EUR 28) and RON 550 (some EUR 122) - the VIP tickets, and can be purchased online from Cirquedusoleil.com/varekai and Eventim.ro. However, children aged between 3 and 12 benefit from 30% discount. Moreover, until December 23, the clients of local telecom operator Orange can also buy tickets from Orange shop with a discount of 10%.

Directed by Dominic Champagne, Varekai premiered in Montreal in 2012. The show’s title means “wherever” is the Romani language, the production being an “acrobatic tribute to the nomadic soul”. Find out more about the show here.
