Two major exhibitions will be organized at Romania’s National History Museum (MNIR) in Bucharest this year. China’s Treasure, the exhibition which will also include statues from the famous Chinese Terracotta Army (Qin Dynasty) – discovered in 1974, will be organized between May and August, 2013. A total of 101 exhibits will be displayed during this event, including prehistoric bronze objects, cultural goods related to the Silk Road (Han and Tang dynasties), as well as other cultural goods belonging to the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties.
The second exhibition, named Romania’s Ancient Gold and Silver, will take place between September and December, 2013, and will gather some of the most representative gold and silver items discovered in Romania, dating from the Neolithic to the sixth and seventh centuries AD. The exhibition will first open at MNIR before touring at least 12 museums in Romania.
