Government approves budget of Bucharest airports company

21 July 2016

Romania’s Government has approved the budget of the state company that manages Bucharest’s two airports, Otopeni (Henri Coanda) and Baneasa.

The budget estimates a net profit of EUR 23 million this year, down from EUR 40 million in 2015, as the company’s expenses are expected to increase by 26% whereas the income will go up by less than 8%.

The high increase in expenditure is justified by higher investments. The average gross salary in the company will exceed EUR 1,650.

The Bucharest Airports National Company will have total revenues of EUR 188.4 million this year whereas the expenses will total EUR 160.2 million. In 2015 the company had revenues of EUR 175.1 million.
