Bucharest to host 7-day poker festival in May

The second event of Eureka Poker Tour Season 6 will take place at the InterContinental Hotel in Bucharest between May 16 and May 22.

The 7-day poker festival, which is to bring thousands of poker players to Romania, includes 18 events and is organized in partnership with PokerFest Romania. The event will include several tournaments, from the EUR 100 No-Limit Hold’em tournaments to the EUR 1,000 Main Event.

Some of the best poker players in the world are expected to participate in Eureka Poker Tour's Main Event in Bucharest, including Daniel Negreanu, member of Team PokerStars Pro. Negreanu is the biggest live tournament poker winner of all time, having accumulated over USD 32 million in prize money.

"This is a unique moment for the poker in Romania. Eureka Poker Tour's organization in Bucharest is a recognition for the Romanian poker and, in this context, puts Bucharest on the map as a remarkable tourist destination," said Sorin Constantinescu, Chief Executive Officer PokerFest.
