Bucharest and Sibiu bourses analyze merger

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) and the Sibiu bourse Sibex have appointed Deloitte as the consultant that will carry out the assessment of the companies involved in the possible merger between BVB and Sibex.

Deloitte will conduct an evaluation report which will present its opinion on the value of the two market operators, together with their subsidiaries, and the share exchange rate in the case of the merger based on the companies’ market value.

The Bucharest Stock Exchange is the biggest capital market operator in Romania. It had revenues of some EUR 4 million in 2015. BVB’s shares have been trading on its own market since 2010. The company has a market capitalization of EUR 42 million.

Sibex - Sibiu Stock Exchange was founded in 1994. It is listed on its own regulated market since 2010 and has a capitalization of EUR 3.1 million. The operator had revenues of EUR 115,000 in 2015.
