Bucharest hosts International Circus Festival this week

13 February 2017

Around 100 of the most important circus artists from Romania and abroad, as well as 50 animals, will perform in the International Circus Festival in Bucharest this week.

The event will take place at the Globus Circus in the Romanian capital, between February 16 and February 19.

The program will include animal performances, acrobats, magicians, jugglers, bright costumes, and spectacular flying and dancing shows. The participants will compete for a trophy, the winners being announced on the last day of the festival.

The performances will take place on Thursday and Friday, from 10:00 and 19:00, and on Saturday, from 11:00 and 19:00.

Tickets cost between RON 25 and RON 60 and can be purchased from the ticket offices of Globus Circus.

The festival represents the last chance for the circus fans to see wild animal performances at the Globus Circus in Bucharest, as the City Hall banned the use of animals in circus shows at the end of January.
