20 July 2016

Moneycorp, a British company that specializes in international payments and foreign exchange, will open a branch in Romania, under the leadership of Johan Gabriels, former CEO of local lenders Banca Comerciala Carpatica and RBS Bank Romania.

“We mainly address large companies and small and medium-sized companies, which find it difficult to get competitive prices and personalized services from banks with which they interact,” said Johan Gabriels.

Moneycorp began providing payment service and foreign exchanges in an office in London in 1979. The group now has 760 employees and made over 7.2 million transactions in 90 foreign currencies in 2015. It also has offices in Dublin, Madrid, and Miami.
