British financial group moneycorp officially launches in Romania

British financial group moneycorp, which specializes in foreign exchange and international payment services, has officially opened its subsidiary in Romania.

“Romania is a key market for moneycorp group in our international expansion strategy,” said Nicholas Haslehurst, Chief Financial and Operating Oficer (CFOO) moneycorp, reports local Ziarul Financiar.

The group’s local subsidiary is managed by Belgian Johan Gabriels, a former CEO of RBS Romania and Banca Carpatica.

moneycorp Romania offers services for companies and individuals looking for alternative solutions for foreign exchange, currency hedging, and international payments. Its clients get a dedicated account manager who also advises them on currency trading, according to the company’s representatives.

The group is big in Britain, where it traded over EUR 30 billion in 2015, in almost 100 currencies and through 7.2 million transactions. moneycorp is authorized and supervised by the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) in UK.
