Blue Air introduces Bucharest-Tel Aviv flights

Low-cost carrier Blue Air, the second largest airline in Romania after Wizz Air, launched the Bucharest-Tel Aviv flight yesterday, with prices starting from EUR 34.95 per flight, the company announced.

The flights will be operated three times per week, on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday.

The Bucharest-Tel Aviv route targets business people, weekend tourists as well as people who go on pilgrimages, said Blue Air general manager Gheorghe Racaru.

This year, the airline will operate 33 direct flights from Bucharest. In 2016, the company increased the number of its passengers from and to Romania to 3.59 million, up 80% year-on-year. Wizz Air was the market leader, with 5.5 million passengers, up 23% year-on-year.
